At the end of this month, we all come together and tell the tale of the beleaguered conference center professional. A weeklong therapy session for the soul will begin October 24th and I would love to see each and every one of you there. Our keynote speaker Marc Wayshak will make the impossible become possible with his incredible interactive workshop on breaking barriers. Also on Tuesday, we will get a back of the house tour of our host facility mixed with some great story telling by one of IACCA’s charter members-Mr. Scotty Washburn. Joel Jarvis has scheduled a great line up of workshops that will take place throughout the conference so you are bound to find something that suits your fancy. On Thursday, Byron Hill, from the Lifeway Christian Centers will join us to talk about great customer service in an ever changing world. The fun doesn’t stop after dinner-look forward to evening entertainment each night as we wind down after each day. We will wrap up the conference on Thursday with our business meeting and a presentation on the direction of IACCA which will contain very important subject matter for all of our members. Registration has never been easier-click on the YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly site and confirm your reservation today. Happy 35th IACCA.

Agenda

The planning committee met March 21st and toured the beautiful Blue Ridge Center. We tackled several important items like:

  • the 2011 conference agenda

  • workshops, keynote (s)

  • length of conference

  • evening activities
We are excited to be bringing back a crowd favorite-Nuts and Bolts. This open mic session allows us to share our professional expertise in a question and answer format. We will have two options for off campus fun on Wednesday morning-1.) tour of the Biltmore 2.) tour of two local conference centers (one is the Cove)! As always your thoughts and suggestions are welcome.

Let's Begin

Well, no more excuses. It is time to begin thinking about the 2011 Conference. It's less than a year away you know. It is our 35th year and I want it to be special and memorable for everyone-a lot of pressure, whew! I had a great response for committee members and I know they will help me do a great job. Let me know what you, as a member, want to see at the next conference. I am all EARS!
